This course meets the requirements of the STCW Convention Section II / 4. It is intended for seafarers who want to obtain the appropriate certificate for the duties of the helmsman. 

This course is organized to provide the trainee with the knowledge and skills required for the crew member of the ship-watch (sailor, wheeler).

Course content: 

• Steerage 
• Observation 
• Participation in monitoring and monitoring a safe guard 
• Work with equipment and emergency procedures 
• Maneuvering with avoidance of collision on the sea 

Duration: 2 days 

Course requirement: 

• Personal identity card or passport 
• 2 personal pictures 
• At least 16 years of age 
• At least 6 months of certified navigation at deck service 
• Certificate of completed education (minimum elementary school) 
• Certificate D2- Basic safety training 
• Medical examination (not older than 6 months) 
  

After successfully completing the course and exam in Port Authority, the candidates will receive a certificate  D4 - Crew member that forms part of the navigational guard.
